Danube week odds slip to 1 percent at Budapest
The Rhine came up at Lobith overnight, 858 to 1011 cubic meters a second, and this week now reads a 99 percent chance of going as planned, up from 85 yesterday. The Danube is harder. Flow at Budapest rose too, but it stays below the level where ships have difficulty, and this week sits at 1 percent as planned, with November at 15 percent. On a Danube river cruise that usually means lighter loads, or a swap to a sister ship past the shallow stretch with a coach in between.
