Danube at Budapest came up after rain in the Inn valley
Rain fell across the Inn valley yesterday, a little more than October usually brings, and the Danube at Budapest came up overnight from 1,044 to 1,124 cubic meters a second. It is still low water. The chance of a Danube sailing day going as planned is 1 percent this week and 29 percent in November, and in practice low water means a ship loaded lighter or passengers coached past the shallow stretch to a sister ship. The Rhine at Lobith came up a little too.
