Rhine odds for this week improve to 19 percent

Maxau came up a centimeter overnight to 279, and the chance of a Rhine day going as planned this week improved from 12 percent to 19. Water levels are still low for October, though November on the Rhine sits at 43 percent as planned and December at 64. Low water of this kind rarely cancels a river cruise; more often it means lighter loading, or a coach around a shallow stretch to a sister ship. The Danube at Budapest is the tighter one, dropping again, at 1 percent as planned this week.
