Kaub comes up 3 cm but Rhine stays at low water

Kaub rose three centimeters overnight, to 1 cm, the first upward move in a while on the Middle Rhine. It is still low water there, and this week carries a 1 percent chance of sailing as planned, so expect lines to lighten the load, swap to a sister ship across a shallow stretch with a coach between, or reshuffle a day. Further out the Rhine eases: 45 percent as planned in November, 63 percent in December. The Danube at Pfelling slipped four centimeters and sits in the same position for October, at 16 percent.
