Rhine at Kaub drops to 13 centimeters

The Danube came up 3 centimeters at Pfelling overnight, to 210. The Rhine gave back a centimeter at Kaub and stands at 13, and for river cruise sailings this week both rivers sit at a 1 percent chance of going as planned. In practice that means lighter loading, or a swap to a sister ship on the far side of a shallow stretch with a coach in between. Rhine water levels look easier later in the year, at 45 percent as planned in November and 63 percent in December.
