Danube falls 8 centimeters at Pfelling

Rain kept falling over the Bohemian basin and the Elbe at Dresden held steady at 62 centimeters, with a 92 percent chance of sailing as planned this week. On the Danube, Pfelling dropped 8 centimeters to 207, and Kaub on the Middle Rhine slipped 3 centimeters to 13, which leaves both at a 1 percent chance of going as planned this week. Lines handle low water by loading lighter or swapping ships either side of a shallow stretch, and December on the Rhine reads 63 percent as planned.
