Rhine at Kaub comes up 2 centimeters to 16

Kaub came up 2 centimeters overnight, to 16, and Pfelling on the Danube gained 2 as well. Rain over the Bohemian basin lifted the Elbe at Dresden to a 94 percent chance of going as planned this week, up from 84. Both the Rhine and the Danube are still at low water, at 1 percent as planned this week and 7 and 4 percent for September, easing to 17 and 21 percent in October. Low water usually means lighter loading, or a swap to a sister ship with a coach around the shallow stretch.
