Danube drops 9 centimeters at Pfelling gauge

Rain fell on the Alpine headwaters yesterday, 11.4 millimeters against 2.8 as normal, and Rhine water levels came up with it. Both rivers are still at low water this morning. The Danube gauge at Pfelling dropped 9 centimeters to 227, and sailing days this week read 1 percent as planned on the Danube and the Rhine alike. In practice that usually means a ship loads lighter, or you coach past a shallow stretch and board a sister ship on the far side.
