Rhine falls again at Lobith as low water holds

Rain fell over the Inn valley yesterday, 7.8 millimeters against a normal 4.3, and the Danube's chance of going as planned this week came up to 14 percent from 10. The Rhine is harder this morning: flow at Lobith fell again, and this week stands at a 1 percent chance of going as planned, with September at 11 percent. On the Rhine that usually means lighter loading, or a swap to a sister ship around a shallow stretch with a coach in between. October reads 27 percent there, December 63.
