Rhine at Kaub slips to 29 centimeters

The Elbe at Dresden came up two centimeters, and this week reads 84 percent as planned, up from 74 yesterday. On the Rhine, Kaub dropped a centimeter to 29, and Rhine river cruise days this week sit at 1 percent as planned. That usually means lighter loading, or a swap to a sister ship past the shallow stretch with a coach in between, rather than a canceled sailing. Rhine water levels look easier further out, with 30 percent as planned in October and 52 percent in November.
