Danube drops 7 centimeters at Pfelling

Rain is due over the Inn valley and the Bavarian Danube this coming week, around 27 millimeters, a little more than September normally brings. Pfelling fell 7 centimeters overnight to 218 and the Danube is still at low water, with an 11 percent chance of a sailing day going as planned this week. Kaub came up a centimeter to 35, though Rhine water levels there leave this week at 1 percent as planned. Lines handle stretches like these by loading the ship lighter, or by coaching passengers to a sister ship past the shallow water.
