Danube due above-normal rain over the next week

The Bavarian Danube is due about 37 millimeters of rain this week, against 24 in a normal one, and Pfelling came up 3 centimeters overnight. Both the Danube and the Rhine are still at low water, with a 9 percent and 4 percent chance of a sailing day going as planned this week. On a river cruise that usually means the ship carries less weight, or that passengers coach around a shallow stretch to a sister ship. Rhine water levels ease further out, at 52 percent for November.
