Rhine comes up three centimeters at Kaub

Kaub came up three centimeters overnight, to 23, and the Alpine headwaters are due about 37 millimeters of rain over the next week, a bit more than normal. The Rhine is still at low water, with this week's chance of sailing as planned at 1 percent, though December sits at 41 percent. The Danube dropped five centimeters at Pfelling, to 229. Low water like this usually means a lighter load, or a coach ride to a sister ship past the shallow stretch.
