Rhine at Kaub still at low water in November

Kaub came up two centimeters overnight, to 18, and the Rhine's winter odds look easier than today: 40 percent as planned in December, 66 percent in February. For now the Middle Rhine is at low water, with a 1 percent chance a sailing day this week goes as planned, and the Danube at Pfelling held flat at 243 centimeters. On a river cruise that usually shows up as lighter loading, or a coach ride to a sister ship past the shallow stretch while the line reshuffles a day.
