Danube at Pfelling drops below the trouble level
The Rhine at Maxau came up a centimeter overnight, to 302. Danube water levels went the other way: Pfelling fell two centimeters to 247, which puts the Straubing to Vilshofen stretch below the level where ships start having difficulty. That usually means a ship carries less weight, or swaps to a sister ship on the far side of the shallow water with a coach in between. For November the Danube shows a 10 percent chance of sailing as planned, rising to 26 percent in December.
