Rhine week improves to 42 percent going as planned
The Rhine's week came up overnight. Forty-two percent of sailing days are now expected to go as planned, against 20 percent yesterday, after 16 millimeters of rain fell on the Alpine headwaters two days ago. Lobith is still at low water at 702, and October stands at 9 percent. The Danube at Budapest fell again and sits at 3 percent for the week, which usually means a ship carrying less weight, or a coach past the shallow stretch to a sister ship on the other side.
