Danube came up 9 centimeters at Pfelling
The Danube at Pfelling came up 9 centimeters overnight, to 236, and this week's chance of sailing as planned eased from 6 to 11 percent. Kaub on the Rhine added 2 centimeters, though at 10 centimeters it is still at low water, and the week reads 4 percent as planned. Close to 39 millimeters of rain is due in the Alpine headwaters over the next seven days, about double normal for October. Low water like this usually means a river cruise ship loading lighter, or a coach around a shallow stretch to a sister ship.
