Rhine comes up five centimeters at Maxau

The Rhine at Maxau came up five centimeters, to 308. The chance of a Rhine cruise day going as planned this week eased from 1 percent to 4 percent. The Rhine and the Danube are both still at low water this October, and Budapest sits at 1 percent as planned for the week, with November at 29 percent. Low water usually means lighter loading, or a swap to a sister ship past the shallow stretch with a coach ride in between.
