Rhine drops another centimeter at Kaub, now 2

The Danube held level overnight, with Pfelling still reading 209 centimeters. The Rhine gave up another centimeter at Kaub, down to 2, and both rivers sit below the mark where ships start having difficulty. For this week that leaves a 1 percent chance of a sailing day going as planned on either river, which in practice usually means lighter loading or a swap to a sister ship with a coach ride between the two. Rhine water levels look easier by December, at 63 percent.
