Kaub comes up 2 cm but Rhine stays at low water

Kaub rose two centimeters overnight, to 5 cm, and the Danube at Pfelling added a centimeter to reach 217. Both rivers are still below the level where ships start having difficulty, and for sailings this week the chance of going as planned is 1 percent on each. In practice that means lighter loading, a swap to a sister ship across a shallow stretch with a coach between, or a day rearranged on shore. December currently sits at 63 percent as planned on the Rhine, and rain in the Alpine headwaters would move these numbers faster than anything else.
