Danube odds for this week climb to 83 percent
Rain is due in the Inn valley and along the Bavarian Danube, around 34 millimeters this week, a little above normal for September. Flow at Budapest came up overnight, and the chance of a Danube sailing day going as planned this week is now 83 percent, up from 68 yesterday. The Rhine is harder going: Kaub rose two centimeters to 25, but this week still sits at 1 percent as planned, with October at 26 percent. Low water on the Rhine usually means lighter loading or a coach ride to a sister ship.
