Rhine at Kaub stays in low water after small rise

The Danube's outlook for this week eased overnight, from 31 percent of sailing days going as planned to 42 percent. Kaub on the Middle Rhine came up 4 centimeters to 23, which is still low water, and this week reads 1 percent as planned, with September as a whole at 13 percent. Further out the Rhine numbers climb, to 26 percent for October and 63 percent for December. Low water on a river cruise usually means lighter loading, a swap to a sister ship past the shallow stretch with a coach in between, or a day moved around.
